Processing time
Processing time is the time it takes for your item to be made before it ships. This is different from shipping time. Processing time matters because most Everything Volleyball products are print on demand, which means they are created after you place your order rather than pulled from a warehouse shelf.
On Everything Volleyball, “processing time” is an entity because it connects directly to shipping policy, order tracking, and return policy. When customers understand processing time, they can order earlier and avoid last minute stress before tournaments, tryouts, and gift deadlines.
What processing time includes
- Processing time typically includes:
- Confirming the order details.
- Producing the item, which may involve printing or embroidery depending on the product.
- Quality checking and packaging.
- Handing the package off to the shipping carrier.
- Once the item is handed to the carrier, processing time ends and shipping time begins.
Why processing time can vary
- Processing time can vary based on:
- The product type. Some items take longer to produce than others.
- Personalization. Adding a name and number can add production steps.
- Order volume. Peak seasons and holiday periods can increase production queues.
- Supply availability. Occasionally a blank color or size can cause a delay if a production partner needs to source it.
- In most cases, the processing time shown on the product page or at checkout is the best estimate.
How to plan around tournaments and gifts
If you are ordering for a tournament weekend, tryouts, or a gift, the simplest rule is to order earlier than you think you need.
Volleyball seasons move fast. The processing window plus shipping time can feel longer than expected if you are ordering close to a deadline.
If you are not sure, choose a timeline that gives you buffer rather than cutting it close.
When your order is “in production”
Once an order enters production, changes may not be possible, especially for personalized items. That is why double checking details at checkout is important.
How processing time relates to tracking
You usually will not receive tracking information until the order ships. If you placed an order recently and do not have tracking yet, it often means the item is still in production.
Once shipped, tracking will be sent when available, and updates will appear as the carrier scans the package.
